What Aktionariat Enables

Aktionariat makes it possible for anyone to become a shareholder in private Swiss companies — with the same rights and protections as traditional shareholders, powered by blockchain technology.

Tokenized shares issued through Aktionariat are real shares under Swiss law. As a holder of tokenized shares, you have the same rights as any other shareholder, including:

  • Voting rights — Participate in general assemblies and vote on corporate decisions
  • Dividend rights — Receive dividends when the company distributes profits
  • Information rights — Access company reports and disclosures

Tokenization does not change your legal standing as a shareholder. It simply modernizes how shares are issued, held, and transferred.

Aktionariat provides shareholders with automatically generated reports for their tokenized holdings:

  • Shareholder data management — Your ownership is recorded in the company’s digital shareholder registry, updated in real time with every transaction
  • Accounting reports — Overview of all your transactions, purchases, and sales
  • Tax reports — Annual reports for your tokenized share holdings, ready for tax filing

Every company on Aktionariat has a public Investor Page where you can access key information before and after investing:

  • Company profile and description
  • Token agreements and legal documents
  • Latest share price and price history
  • Recent trades and trading volume

This transparency helps you make informed investment decisions and stay up to date on the companies you invest in.

Aktionariat provides the Portfolio App — a crypto wallet designed specifically for shareholders, not crypto traders. Available on iOS and Android, it makes it easy to:

  • Hold tokenized shares alongside other crypto assets in a single portfolio view
  • Buy and sell shares directly from the app
  • Transfer shares to other wallets or request tokenization of traditionally held shares

The app uses self-custody, meaning you control your own assets — no intermediary holds your shares on your behalf.

Companies on Aktionariat can enable secondary trading, giving shareholders the ability to sell their shares to other investors. This provides additional liquidity that is typically unavailable in private markets.

When enabled by the company, secondary trading offers:

  • Order-book trading — Place buy and sell orders that are matched with other shareholders
  • Automated market maker — Trade against a liquidity pool with algorithmically determined pricing
  • Instant settlement — Trades settle on the blockchain in seconds, with the shareholder registry updating automatically
