How to Sell ZCHF and Cash Out to Your Bank Account

This guide is for anyone new to crypto. No prior blockchain knowledge needed.

ZCHF (Frankencoin) is a digital stablecoin always worth 1 Swiss Franc. When you sell tokenized shares on the Investor Page, the proceeds land in your Portfolio App wallet as ZCHF — not as cash. This guide shows you how to convert that ZCHF into real money in your bank account using Mt Pelerin, a Swiss-regulated partner that converts ZCHF to fiat currency with no exchange fees.

Before You Start

You will need:

• The Aktionariat Portfolio App, set up with a wallet — see the wallet setup guide
• ZCHF in your wallet, received from selling shares on the Investor Page
• A bank account to receive the funds
• A small amount of ETH to cover the network fee in Step 2 — if you don’t have any yet, Step 2 explains how to get some

How It Works

Cashing out is a two-step process:

1. Start your cash-out on Mt Pelerin — tell them where to send the money
2. Send your ZCHF from the Portfolio App to Mt Pelerin — they wire the cash to your bank

Step 1: Start Your Cash-Out on Mt Pelerin

Mt Pelerin is a Swiss financial company, regulated since 2019, that converts ZCHF into real currency and wires it to your bank — with no exchange fees.

1. Go to Mt Pelerin’s Sell page

Visit Mt Pelerin’s Sell ZCHF page.

2. Set up the conversion

• Select ZCHF as the currency you are selling
• Choose the currency you want to receive (e.g. CHF)
• Make sure Ethereum is selected as the network
• Enter the amount you want to cash out

3. Sign up or log in

Only an email address and phone number are required.

4. Enter your bank account details

Provide the IBAN or account number where Mt Pelerin should send the funds.

5. Get your transfer instructions

Mt Pelerin will show you a wallet address and the exact amount of ZCHF to send. Keep this page open and move to Step 2.

No verification needed for small amounts

Cashing out up to CHF 999 per month requires no identity verification. Above that, or for your first cash-out with a personal IBAN, Mt Pelerin may ask you to verify your identity.

Step 2: Send Your ZCHF from the Portfolio App

This is the transfer Mt Pelerin is waiting for. You’ll send your ZCHF from the Portfolio App to the wallet address Mt Pelerin gave you in Step 1.

You need ETH to send ZCHF

Every transfer on the Ethereum network — including ZCHF — requires a small network fee called gas. Gas is always paid in ETH, regardless of what you’re sending.

If you already have ETH, you’re ready — follow the steps below.

If you don’t have ETH yet, buy a small amount first using Mt Pelerin’s Buy Ethereum page and send it to your Portfolio App wallet address. A few Swiss francs’ worth is enough. Once it arrives, continue below.

Steps to send your ZCHF:

1. Open the Portfolio App
2. Go to the Portfolio page and tap ZCHF
3. Tap on your wallet
4. Tap Send
5. Choose External Address, then either paste the wallet address Mt Pelerin gave you, or tap the QR code icon to scan it
6. Enter the exact amount of ZCHF Mt Pelerin asked for
7. Review the estimated gas fee — this is what your ETH pays for
8. Tap Send, review all details, then confirm
9. Approve the transaction in the app to complete it

What Happens Next

Once Mt Pelerin confirms receipt of your ZCHF on-chain, they convert it and wire the funds to your bank:
